Explore the Ethnic Aisle to Save Money at the Supermarket

Imported food often comes with gourmet price tags.  Not so in the grocery’s international section, where food can be had for less than better-known brands.  An added plus:  no special trips or coupons.

In an article this week at Buttoned Up, I talk about how to Explore the Ethnic Aisle to Save Money at the Supermarket, including finding delicious espresso at a fraction of the cost.

See you at Buttoned Up!

You know where I’ve found great, CHEAP ethnic foods? BIG LOTS. There are things there I can’t get anywhere else in my small rural-ish town, like Israeli couscous and certain spices, and real Asian noodles. They also have a great selection of weird (and wonderful) flavorings and sauces that apparently never took off or were over-purchased by large chains. Now we make a point of going there once a month just to check out their foods!
